Municipal Rose Garden of San Jose, California
The Municipal Rose Garden of San Jose, California was designed by John McLaren and constructed in 1931. Located in the heart of "Silicon Valley", and drawing visitors from the United States and all around the world, the garden is comprised of 5 1/2 acres. The garden is exclusively devoted to shrubs of the rose family and features more than 3500 rose shrubs with 189 varieties represented. Every six or eight weeks, year round, there is a new flush of colorful roses, so visitors can enjoy the showy blooms throughout the seasons. The Rose Garden carries the San Jose Historical Landmark No. 102.
